Bridge Oracle is the first ever public oracle for the TRON blockchain network. Oracles help to feed real-world data to blockchain smart contracts which is not possible otherwise due the underlying protocol restrictions of blockchain. In other words, blockchains are unable to access external data independently which limits the functional scope of smart contracts big time. TRON blockchain too has suffered from the same woe since its inception given the lack of oracle and the limitation has even hindered the growth of the platform by a great extent. With the launch of Bridge, TRON is now looking forward to more functional smart contracts which would eventually help the network to take the TRON platform to newer heights.
Bridge Oracle system has been classified into three major cases, based on the category of user queries:
It’s to note here, Bridge Oracle system comprises various services. When one needs to use a particular type of service in the oracle system, he would have to import the most appropriate API contract into his smart contracts to avail that service. In that light, the Bridge ecosystem has come up with multiple API contracts, with individual functionality for each.
The Bridge Public Oracle API contract is engineered to obviate requirements of data validity or that of proving the data validity from off-chain data. But then, the method will also forward various types of proof to ensure data validity in coming months.
The Bridge Decentralized API contract is especially developed for those who are aspiring to implement a completely decentralized portal. In this case, they would have to source real-world data through a decentralized oracle system. Bridge Decentralized Oracle enables users to build completely distributed Dapps through easy access to external world data.
As the name says, this system is especially designed for enterprise clients. Bridge Enterprise Oracle allows companies to integrate their businesses with Blockchain technology through incorporation with Bridge Oracle.
Enterprise organizations own a massive volume of special and dedicated data which can’t be published publicly for security issues. They cannot work with Public API contracts and would call for dedicated Enterprise API contracts to ensure optimum protection of their data. An enterprise-client can choose to sell such information through the Bridge oracle system and to access them users would have to import that company’s dedicated enterprise API contract. The user would have to send a request to the Bridge Enterprise API contract which will then redirect the request to that organization’s contract. Once the request is sent, the dedicated oracle data carriers of the company will check the request and respond accordingly. If the request complies with the company’s terms & conditions, the data carriers will inject dedicated information into their contract privately.
Companies signing up for Bridge Enterprise API contracts will be able to exchange their dedicated data for Bridge token (BRG) against payment from Bridge users.
