No more 404s and No more stealth edits with ArWeave (AR)

Arweave makes it possible to store data permanently. For those who are wondering if information permanence is sustainable, Arweave makes information permanence sustainable.

Sam Williams:  Last Friday: 45,397 transactions. Today: 554,056 transactions. …and the day isn’t done. A huge pool of demand for Arweave storage has been unlocked.

Also, Arweave network saw a new peak in transaction volume during the first week of September due to high network usage from NFT projects, especially Solana-based dApps. New end-users and developers discovering the innovative potential of the permaweb.

Anatoly Yakovenko, CEO of Solano Labs expressed:  Thousands of Solana NFTs are permanently stored on the Arweave’s Permaweb.

ArDrive has made possible a new pricing calculator which helps uses understand the cost in dollars and AR when they want to achieve files.

Arweave is a new type of storage which backs data with sustainable and perpetual endowments, permitting users and developers to truly store data forever for the very first time.

As a collectively owned hard drive which never forgets, Arweave allows us to remember and preserve valuable information, apps, and history indefinitely. By preserving history, it prevents others from rewriting it.

On top of the Arweave network lives the permaweb: a global, community-owned web that anyone can contribute to or get paid to maintain.  The permaweb looks just like the normal web, but all of its content – from images to full web apps – is permanent, retrieved quickly, and decentralized – forever. Just as the first web connected people over vast distances, the permaweb connects people over extremely long periods of time.  No more 404s. No more stealth edits. No more web apps that decline in quality.

Arweave is community owned and operated.  It is run by real people.  Those who have an amazing idea for an Arweave application will get paid to build it.  Those who have extra storage space will be able to get the network to pay the rent for it.

Profit sharing communities and apps on the Permaweb are worth exploring.  Users can either build or contribute to the community. While the traditional web is failing most of them, about 305 of the web links break within 2 years. To avoid this issue Arweave has made it possible to Archive your favorite sites and store it forever on the Permaweb.

Developers can interact with the core Arweave protocol using its simple HTTP interface. The Arweave community has built numerous libraries for integrating the protocol in a number of different programming languages, such as JS, PHP, Python, and many others.
