RTFKT pronounced “artifact” is a studio, a creator led organization great at designing Virtual streetwear, sneakers and digital avatars.  Thus, they are contributing in a great way to cryptocurrency, fashion, and art space.  RTFKT uses the latest in game engines, NFT, blockchain authentication and augmented reality combined with manufacturing expertise to create one-of-a-kind sneakers and digital artifacts.

On December 13, 2021 RTFKT expressed: “RTFKT is now a part of the NIKE, Inc. family.” “We will continue to evolve our brand, innovations, products and community with NIKE resources and talents. NIKE is the only brand in the world we always looked up to and got inspired by when starting RTFKT.”

Further NIKE, Inc. also announced their acquisition of RTFKT.  Buying RTFKT helped Nike ramp up its own production of virtual wearables without having to rely on outside help.  The purchase of RTFKT marked the beginning of Nike’s substantial foray in to the metaverse space.

Nike’s NFTs consists of many things like shoes for the virtual world. Worth noting the sporting goods giant filed “Trademarks with the US Patent office” to sell branded sneakers.

John Donahoe, President and CEO of NIKE, Inc., stated, “This acquisition is another step that accelerates Nike’s digital transformation and allows us to serve athletes and creators at the intersection of sport, creativity, gaming and culture,” He also stated, “We’re acquiring a very talented team of creators with an authentic and connected brand. Our plan is to invest in the RTFKT brand, serve and grow their innovative and creative community and extend Nike’s digital footprint and capabilities.” 

Later, RTFKT released Nike Co-Branded “MNLTH” NFT, which is Nike’s first official NFT.  The “MNLTH,” is currently sold on Open Sea.   “MNLTH” was airdropped to current Clone X holders alongside PodX virtual spaces.  For clarity, RTFKT’s Clone X was designed by Takashi Murakami, which is one of the top traded NFT collections in the world.

Those who are interested in crypto fashion and arts space are waiting for CloneX NFT drop as they know it is valuable.  It just looks like everyone who like CloneX are entering the RTKFT ecosystem. More members ensure the metaverse will bloom to life.
