Algorand Foundation has announced its 250M ALGO in Grants. The fund will get used to accomplishing the global promise of blockchain technology by leveraging the Algorand Protocol and open-source software. Algorand Foundation tweeted: “We are excited to announce our 250M ALGO Grants Program! We will fund application development, tools & infrastructure, research, education & community engagement efforts, fueling the growth of a vibrant Algorand ecosystem.”
Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert, tweeted: “For as long as major stakes are not with bad or malicious players Algorand (ALGO) (PPoS) consensus protocol built on Byzantine agreement will be able to achieve consensus.”
The users’ influence will depend on the choice of a new block, which is proportional to their stakes in the system based on the number of Algos. Users are randomly and secretly selected to both propose blocks and vote on block proposals.

The community makes use of the consensus Protocol from Algorand in a way to vote for accepting or rejecting the change.
