For clarity, Ubeswap is a protocol for decentralized exchange and automated liquidity provision on Celo. Ubeswap is a mobile-first DeFi exchange, which powers DeFi on CELO.

The launch of DeFiForThePeople marks an important step in bringing the capabilities of mobile-first DeFi to 6 billion end users. Celo’s mission is to build a financial system that creates the conditions for prosperity for everyone.

To date, ubeswap is the only Celo-native DEX that is harnessing the full capabilities of the Celo protocol. Celo protocol assets like CELO, cUSD and community assets like MOO and UBE are trading on the platform.

Ubeswap also provided early liquidity for the cEUR stablecoin before CEX listings and is fully committed to providing decentralized liquidity to the Celo community and beyond. Launched in Feb 2021, Ubeswap is now over $35mil TVL.

The tremendous growth will only accelerate with DeFiForThePeople. As part of the initiative, ubeswap launched the dual-reward pool on Sep 10. 2021.
